The meeting was called to
order by President Suzy Tracy, following by the Pledge of Allegiance. A
moment of silence followed for all those active service men and women,
veterans and all others that died in service to our country. There were 14
in attendance.
Secretary Barbara Giroux
read the Minutes of the December meeting. Doris Rivard made a motion to
accept as read, seconded by Angela Belisle.
Treasurer, Nancy Pasquini,
reported that we have a total in our checking and savings accounts
$10,968.74, and Nancy passed around a copy of the bank’s spread sheet for
our perusal. Nancy will finish up all the year-end figures and get this
information to us soon. Suzy Tracy reported that all passbook accounts at
the bank have been transferred over to Statement Savings accounts.
Joe Frankowski presented
another bid for our sign from Advertising Products Corporation in Agawam in
the amount of $733.95 which includes crating charge and shipping from
factory. Joe Giroux made a motion that we go with this bid, seconded by
Doris Rivard, and a vote was taken and all was in favor. Joe Frankowski
will handle getting this installed.
Kim Goulette did a GREAT
job of putting an Agenda together for our Fundraising meeting prior to this
meeting, and she is working on getting the final list typed of all members
and potential new members. Rosalie Dupont and Nancy Pasquini will assist her
with information so she can finalize. She presented a letter that will be
mailed out to everyone from the President, and also the Membership
Application. Also discussed was that a budget should be prepared so we know
how much we can spend for each event, etc. This will be worked on in the
future with committee members and Nancy Pasquini.
The Newsletter should be
coming out soon…..Nancy Pasquini is to find out if this Newsletter is all
set to go, Kim will begin doing the Newsletter after the next issue.
Doris Rivard asked about
prices for our next dinner Roast Pork, which will be February 3rd,
and it was voted by all to have adults tickets priced at $8.00 and children
$2.50. It was also voted that the Corned Beef and Cabbage tickets will be
priced the same, $8.00 adults - $2.50 children.
The Elections were tabled
until the next meeting.
Barb Giroux made a motion
to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 p.m. seconded by Pete Sanuita.
